In our onnovation project „5G Assisted AR Localisation“, we have been working on a new generation of technical services together with Dematic, Ericsson, PTC and Deutsche Telekom/T-Systems.
Our pilot solution helps external service staff to quickly and reliably get to the right location in large-scale industrial facilities. This is enabled by a hybrid localisation solution with Augmented Reality and cellular positioning. In addition, service technicians are also supported during the execution of their service task by the display of location-based instructions as well as information on work processes for maintenance and servicing.
